AllUnited charges a fixed annual fee plus an amount per contact and builds its offering from individual modules, whereas 4planning is a single environment that includes everything as standard for a fixed fee per package. For the comparable package, 4planning is cheaper at every size.

Tailored to the kind of club you are

A hockey club with ten teams has different work to do than a brass band. 4planning is tailored to the type of club you are: a sports club gets the sports canteen set up straight away, a musical society gets rehearsals, with that exact word in the menu and in the reminders on its members' phones.

With AllUnited you choose in advance which modules you take, and pay extra if you want one later. With 4planning it is ready-made and you switch on what you use.

Why are clubs looking for an AllUnited alternative?

First the honest story: these are not copies of each other. AllUnited serves sports clubs and sports governing bodies, and is built up from separate modules. On their site there are more than eighteen, ranging from bookkeeping, invoicing and iDEAL to competition, lessons, materials, VOG management, digital membership card, club app and association app. You put together your own composition.

4planning is a single environment instead of a collection of modules. Member administration, diary, attendance, communication, subscriptions, bar duty and ticket sales are included as standard, and members use them via an app in the name of their own club.

The overlap is significant: both handle member administration, subscriptions, events and a member app. That is why they will exist side by side, and the reason for this page.

The pricing model: fixed costs plus per relationship

AllUnited calculates two things at once: one substantial amount per year and an amount per relationship per year. That first one is not included in the package price, but in a tooltip next to it, and it makes a big difference.

4planning charges a single daily rate, with no fixed setup fee and no per-member fees: Start £1.00, Plus £1.75 and Pro £2.50, excluding VAT. That comes to £365, £638.75 and £912.50 per year, for 250, 750 and 1,250 members respectively.

On the comparable package, 4planning is cheaper at every size, and the difference grows accordingly. Alleen Starter is bij kleine organisaties voordeliger, en dat pakket bevat ledenadministratie en een app en verder niets: geen boekhouding, geen evenementen, geen dienstenplanner.

Mind what is being counted

Net als bij andere aanbieders die per relatie rekenen, is "relatie" ruimer dan "lid". Vraag bij een offerte expliciet na of donateurs, sponsors, oud-leden en crediteuren meetellen, en vraag de vaste kosten er apart bij, want die staan niet in het bedrag dat op de pakketpagina in beeld springt.

Let op waar dat bedrag van € 479 staat. De vaste kosten springen niet in beeld op de pakketpagina; ze staan in een tooltip. Wie alleen naar het bedrag per relatie kijkt, rekent zichzelf een te lage prijs voor. Vraag ze bij een offerte expliciet apart op, en vraag erbij of donateurs, sponsors, oud-leden en crediteuren als relatie meetellen.

Modulair of compleet

Dit is de tweede keuze en er is geen algemeen goed antwoord op.

Modulair past als je precies weet wat je nodig hebt en de rest niet wilt betalen. Een grote club met eigen wensen, of een bond met specifieke competitie-eisen, is daar beter mee af.

Compleet past als je vooraf niet weet wat je gaat gebruiken. Een bestuur dat begint met ledenadministratie ontdekt na een half jaar dat het ook de bardiensten wil regelen, en dan is het prettig als dat er gewoon in zit in plaats van dat het een nieuwe module met een nieuw bedrag is.

Bij 4planning zitten agenda, aanwezigheid, communicatie, contributie, bardiensten, evenementen en kaartverkoop in het pakket. Je zet aan wat je nodig hebt en de rest staat uit.

What it can earn back

Bij AllUnited betaal je per module. Wil je er na een half jaar iets bij — een dienstenplanner, evenementen, een webshop — dan is dat een nieuw gesprek en een nieuwe prijs.

Bij 4planning staat het klaar. Je zet aan wat je gebruikt, en de rest wacht tot je het wilt. Dat maakt het verschil zichtbaar op het moment dat je vereniging iets nieuws wil proberen: geen offerte, geen meerprijs, gewoon aanzetten.

Wat het daarnaast oplevert is de kaartverkoop en de clubshop. Een clubavond met driehonderd kaarten of één bestelronde clubkleding haalt er al snel meer uit dan een jaar abonnement kost, en beide draaien op dezelfde ledenlijst.

Your membership base moves with you. 4planning leest een export uit AllUnited in via Excel of CSV, inclusief je eigen velden. Vraag bij een demo om die import te doen met je échte export uit AllUnited en niet met een voorbeeldbestand, dan zie je meteen welke kolommen meekomen en welke je opnieuw moet inrichten.

Your groups will move with you, and are immediately usable: document permissions, messages to a single committee or team, and private tickets that are visible only to that group.

Your contribution moves along too, but your members will sign a new SEPA direct debit mandate. That is a single evening's work and it is unavoidable: a mandate is in the name of the collection agency.

Wanneer is AllUnited de betere keuze?

Je bent een sportbond of koepelorganisatie. AllUnited heeft daar een bondsapp en competitiemodules voor. Dat is een andere markt dan de onze.

Je wilt boekhouding in hetzelfde systeem, inclusief een automatische bankkoppeling. Bij ons koppel je daarvoor een boekhoudpakket.
Je bent een grote club met eigen eisen en wilt liever precies samenstellen dan een compleet pakket afnemen.

Where the data is located. Data is stored on European servers, in an ISO 27001-certified hosting environment, and is not shared with systems or AI models outside Europe. Sensitive data is stored encrypted, with daily backups.

What happens to your member base. All club and member data remains the property of the organisation that enters it. It will not be sold, shared or used for commercial purposes.

If you get stuck. For ticketing, 4planning is available 24 hours a day, including on the evening of your event itself. For the app and other questions, on working days from 08:00 to 18:00. Outside of these hours, the assistant in the app explains the step and takes you to the right page. The app includes an assistant that views your own environment along with you.

Does 4planning also have a club app?

Members download the 4planning app and see their own club's name, logo and colours inside it. On the Pro and Business packages, the club logo appears as the app icon on your members' home screens, making the club's app easily recognisable among their other apps. 4planning does not provide a separate listing per club in the App Store or Google Play. Members manage their attendance, membership fees and tickets there.

Is there an integration with Sportlink?

4planning has a link with Sportlink so that members, teams and matches are automatically synchronised.

Can I take my member database with me when switching?

Yes. 4planning imports an existing member database via Excel or CSV, including custom fields. Ask for a demo to perform that import using your actual export from AllUnited rather than a sample file, and you will immediately see which columns are included.
