The future of logging in: Maximum security and ultimate convenience with Passkeys and Social Logins

We have completely revamped the foundation of our login system to offer your organisation and members the very best balance between robust security and ultimate login convenience. With this major update, we are introducing state-of-the-art login methods, enhancing privacy, and making app access faster and more intuitive than ever before.

The main innovations at a glance:

• Fast and secure login with Passkeys
From now on, you can create a ‘passkey’ for your 4planning account. This means you can log in using your fingerprint, facial recognition (Face ID/Touch ID), or your phone's PIN code. This is currently the most secure login method. It works directly within the app and on the browser, so you'll never have to remember a complicated password again.

• Sign in with Apple & Renewed Google sign-in
For fans of social logins, we've made great progress. Apple users can now log in securely and quickly everywhere via ‘Sign in with Apple’. In addition, the existing login with Google has been completely revised and equipped with the very latest and strictest security techniques under the hood.

Clever two-factor authentication (2FA)
Does your organisation or account already use an additional authenticator code? You can now set up your passkey so that it counts directly as double security. This allows you to log in securely with a single trusted face scan or fingerprint, without having to manually type in a separate six-digit code each time.

• Optimal control in ‘My Account’:
In your renewed personal settings, you always remain in control. Here, you can see at a glance which devices have access to your account, and you can easily add new passkeys for your phone, laptop, or tablet, for example.

Logging in with an email address and password will of course always remain the stable foundation of the platform, ensuring that everyone – including members without a smartphone – always retains effortless access to 4planning.
