Allocating referees is for many clubs the most annoying job of the week. Who can play on Saturday? Who has already refereed three times and who never? And then on Thursday evening another WhatsApp message comes in that someone cannot make it after all. From now on you do the whole job in one place — and Planny thinks along with you.
Here is what is new:
Everything about a match on one screen: Matches and referee planning have been merged. Click a match and your worksheet opens: date and opponent, pitch and changing rooms, the referee and the result — all stacked, without changing pages. In the header of each block you can see the status straight away, so you know what is still missing without having to expand everything.
Bij elke naam staat waaróm het deze werd — “otherwise it would have been Sanne, she has got three more this season” — and if a match doesn't work out, it says what's wrong with it. Would you like to lock in a few yourself? They get a padlock and stay put; the app just fills in the rest.
Just tell it in your own words: Availability comes in however it comes — a WhatsApp message, an email, a remark from the sidelines. Paste it into the field Anything else Planny needs to know?“Anouk and Peter are away for the entire May holiday. Youri would rather not referee the under-13s. Sanne can never do Sunday mornings, she works.” Planny takes this straight into account for this scheduling, shows you exactly what it has removed, and with a single tick you save those rules for next time.
Availability that's right, even when you fill it in: Referees indicate in a clear weekly schedule when they are usually available, with individual exceptions for a holiday — or specifically for that one Sunday when they can make it. Do you receive it via message? Then as a scheduler you enter it yourself, including their team preferences, and the member sees on their profile that you have filled it in.
Nothing leaves the door until you press Save, and you can see beforehand exactly who will receive a message — no surprises afterwards. This way, calling round on a Saturday has been turned into a few clicks on a Thursday evening, and everyone knows where they stand well in advance.
Assign your referees in one click with Planny, which fairly distributes matches to those who have refereed the least, while taking availability and preferences into account. Simply type ad hoc messages about who is available when in your own words, and you can see in advance precisely who will receive a message.
