You want to send a message to your members with both the newsletter and the registration form attached. You choose the first file, then the second... and the first one has gone. Sound familiar? Not anymore: attachments now stack up neatly, you can see exactly what you've chosen, and you can remove something with a single tap.
Here is what has changed when sending a message and in news items:
Files pile up by themselves: Tap the attachments box, choose a file, and then simply tap once more for the next one. What you chose previously remains. Dragging and dropping from your computer is also possible, with multiple files at once.
Everything in one clear list: Beneath the box, you will see each chosen file with its name and size, plus the total number of attachments you are sending. Attached the wrong file? Tap the cross next to that line and only that file will disappear.
Straight away clear if something is not possible: If a file is too large or of a type that we do not support, you will see that straight away while you are choosing. Previously, the message would simply be sent, but without that attachment, and you only found out about it when someone called about it.
Also in the app: Until now, you could only choose a single file in the Android app, and even then only a photo. With the very next app update, you will just as easily be able to choose multiple files, including PDFs.
This is how you send everything that belongs together in one go, without wondering if it has all been included. Good to know: the download buttons on a sent message remain active for twelve months, so your members can easily access it later at their own convenience.
